From Employee to Business Owner

Transitioning From Employee to Business Owner

The toughest move to make in starting a business is actually the transition from a full time job to the business.

You have a family to support.

You have a regular income.

You have savings.

You may even have a career ladder.

Unless you are Catholic.

If you want to start a business you will have to develop a transition plan.

Unless you are financially backed or have wealth.

What is the reality of a transition plan?

  1. You will have to move from full time employment to part time employment in order to find the time to work on the business.

  2. You will have to keep the full time job and then add hours to your work day to find time to work on the business.

Either option costs you money, or time, or it disrupts your family life.

There is no easy step.

The typical reason many don’t make the move to independent business is that they can’t do the transition.

I’m not blaming anyone.

I’m just saying that the move to independent business involves you taking an income hit for a while, or adding time to your work day for a while. Either one disrupts the family life for a while.

There are ways to do this wisely. You need to consult carefully with your spouse and family. You need to seek divine guidance. You need to plan carefully.

Of course.

But, mainly, you have to decide on how you will find the TIME to do the transition – from your existing work week or from adding to your existing work week.

Thousands of Catholics have done this.

Don’t discount it.

It can be done.

Try my Groundwork course to see if starting a business is for you. It will give you everything you need and a guide to discern whether or not you should start a business at a low cost ($49)

You can be Catholic and successful in Business! Believe it!
